GREYday
Honestly, there are dull days when the only solution for an outfit is grey. I’m talking about those mornings when I just don’t feel like getting out of bed.. When people around don’t seem to understand. They don’t even try- they don’t quite care- it’s you’re business- you deal with it yourself!!! that’s what I call.. GreyDay.
Through definition- GreyDay means- tired, bored, not giving a fuck, dressing all grey, having a bad hair day, not wearing make-up, hating everyone.

Gareth Pugh summer 08

I love Gareth Pugh! This guy has something dark in his creation, but at the same time some mystery is involved in the story… He manages to give a great show with only 10-12 outfits. But the effect is awesome. Some outerspace athmosphere combined with some gothic darkness. The fabrics and textures are really beautiful and the characters he creates are definately coming from the future. Gareth is definately a showman.

Putting your trust in somebody who doesn’t deserve it has the same result as tickling an elephant.

HUMAN AFTER ALL

Daft punk.
Im (not) sorry to say but these two characters have managed to turn me on so bad.
I found a very interesting magazine while my stay in Miami. It’s called PAPER — I’d say it’s one of the best free magazines i’ve read so far
. The article about Daft Punk wasn’t exactly what grabbed my attention.. these two characters with misterious identity..and a certain allure.. hm.
And still..it made me think of what I became in the last years.. Could be that I show my true identity only to myself. And the rest is just image. I’ve been studying art for a while now….and even if at the beggining I thought that I would grow in a world full of emotions, of intense feelings etc what I discovered was just a bunch of people fighting to see who gets to be named “the best”. If that’s the definition for art..- I rest my case.
So i’d say, let’s just have sex with our helmets on. No feelings involved.
You can find the article here.

Arts of Fashion International Symposium & Competition 2007
Organized by the Arts of Fashion Foundation, the annual symposium and contest was held this year in Miami-Florida. I had the chance of a great experience – meeting Hermann Fankhauser from Wendy&Jim, who coordinated the FlatFashAttitude MasterClass. He suggested a new approach for creating a garment, a new way of thinking the product.
The challenge was to start from a flat piece- decide on a dress design- and then work on the details in such a manner that even if I will end up having volumes and different shapes on my dress- when I lay it on the table- it should open as a flat piece.
There are lots of things romanian young designers don’t keep in mind. (And it could be that the fashion teachers have the fault for that). The relaxing athmosphere and detached state of mind when creating a design. And I will never forget what Hermann told us at one point : “If you fail, you fail-it’s not a problem. You now have the chance to experience a different approach, try new things. Fashion is about that.”

Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages…
MY LIFE IS A CIRCUS
For all you kids out there who know a lil’ bit of spanish- check out this video I found on YouTube of “Los Mono”- Not only it had a pretty funny dynamics..But the lyrics (which are very much true btw
) gave me some pretty nifty ideas for a fashion collection. Transferring “RESPONSIBILITY” from the human being- to the clothes that he/she is wearing. We then have to deal exclusively with the responsibility of the fabric, of the shapes, the promises made by colors and textures. And that’s it! I am absolved of everything! My clothes alone are responsible for what I am.
About Los Mono- They have been released by Sonic360.
Sonic360 has been releasing music digitally since 2004. Actively marketing, promoting and distributing downloads worldwide with its own radio, press and marketing team. Sonic360 artists have had tracks placed in more than 80 films, TV shows and Adverts. With a further 100 tracks licensed to third party compilations. I also love the Mexican electro-funk rock band Kinky- who was the first artist signed to Sonic360 .Hmm.. So mexican.
